Zambezi River Expedition Launches in Angola

Mar 30, 2008

NetsforLife® sponsored the Zambezi River Expedition to highlight the challenges of access vulnerable communities face to malaria treatment and education needed to recognize and prevent transmission of the disease.

The Zambezi River Expedition began on March 29, 2008 and lasted for two months. Traveling down river, the Roll Back Malaria Zambezi Expedition spread awareness of malaria in Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique and helped mobilize donor support for making effective protection and treatment available to persons at risk of becoming infected with malaria in the region.
